 Yay! I'm so glad you're here! Maybe you've heard the phrase, "She's a born artist" before. Well to be honest... I don't really believe that!
You see... over the years I’ve taught everywhere from public schools to yacht clubs, working with hundreds of students ranging in age from 5 to 95. And the same thing is true of every person I've taught... they're always SHOCKED at the creativity they have & had never been able to tap into before.
Everyone is capable of being creative... some people were just able to tap into & discover it at different times than others.Â
Even though this course is new, it's something I've been working on behind the scenes for a long time. My goal was to develop something that helped others discover a level of creativity & skill they never thought was possible for them.

👋🏼 Hey, I'm Katie!
I am an impressionist painter from Greensboro, N.C. My work, which was featured in Our State Magazine in 2022, is full of vibrant color and joy. My paintings reflect over 25 years of exploring color, brushwork, and the pure delight of playing with art supplies.
Nature and adventures with my family are frequent sources of inspiration for my work. In 2020, my family and I visited every N.C. State Park, and I created paintings from each location. What could have been one of the worst years of my life turned into one of the best. Currently, I’m working on a new collection of landscapes inspired by my travels to the National Parks and experimenting with handmade paints crafted from the rich red clay soils of my childhood home. My work is collected across the United States and is featured in the permanent collections of four universities, as well as in multiple corporations, hotels, and private collections.
